Thank you so much for giving everyone such a super day yesterday, they all had a fantastic time and I didn't hear about anything else all evening. My son Fergus thinks that he could get very accustomed to that level of service and my daughter was very taken with the helicopter pilot!

Although it was only six months since our London flight we have been bitten with the helicopter bug!

Our pilot's name was Carl, he was very friendly and helpful, he clearly explained all the safety instructions to us novice flyers. He arrived in plenty of time and he waited with us, until our taxi had arrived once we had landed in Reading. He made us feel very welcome, and was happy to wait for us to pose for photos and say goodbye to family members before taking off.

Our trip out was on Sunday, 20 March 2011 and the weather was lovely, a brilliant day for flying. My husband was in control of the helicopter most of the time and the pilot was very impressed. Dad saw all over where he has been born, raised, worked etc it was marvellous, how we managed to get mum up in the 'copter is beyond me but we did.

There aren't words really to express what it all meant. Carl was more than generous with his time and patience. Thank you for all your help.

Lynn (Kent Sightseeing Tour)

‘After a beautiful flight to the Isle of Wight, a light lunch, a lay on the beach and a swim, the day was made all the more interesting when on the return journey our fuel disappeared rather too quickly.

A light headwind gradually ate away at our safety margin resulting in us having to divert to Rochester Airport. Of course at 20.00 hours it was closed but luckily for us AV8 Helicopters came to our rescue. Even though they had had a busy day at the Epsom races ferrying customers to and fro they gave us some Avgas (petrol for planes)!

My passenger, Susan Back, was slightly taken aback when I calmly explained the situation. "WE ARE GOING TO CRASH !" (joke, LOL!) It was only her second flight in a microlight! I was flying a two seater X Air, G-NEMO, based at Damyns Hall Airfield in Essex.

We were soon up and away and safely back at Damyns. Carl Cochrane, the managing director of AV8 was our saviour that day and I wanted to say a big public ‘Thank You’ to him and AV8.
